Auto-generate discount coupon after purchase

Am I missing something? I’m looking for a plugin that can autogenerate a unique coupon for a customer after they make a puchase and send it to them via email.

I’ve search 20+ apps and found nothing! I can’t believe something this simple does not exist?
I did find one app that does it for $99 but I really dont want to spend $99 per month for that one thing!

Something sooooo basic.
Can anyone help me here? any advice on how to workaround something so basic? yet it does not exist

Thanks for being part of the Shopify Community. To respond to your question, you can use Klaviyo to achieve that. You’ll have to create a new flow (triggered by Completed Checkout) and set up a dynamic discount code inside the email. This might be quite tricky, but send me a DM if you need help with the set up.

Additionally, you can try offering exclusive discounts directly after the Checkout (inside the Thank You page) or during the Checkout (Post-Purchase widgets) to increase the AOV and take advantage of the emotional state of the client. Any Post-Purchase app will help you with that.

Have you tried Shopify Flow? It’s free. You can use it to automatically perform actions after an order is paid.

This one is actually sending SMS - but I can tweak that for you to do email instead.

Thanks, but yeah that’s quite a bit of effort for something so straight forward. I’m really surprised all these coupon apps do everything else, except this simple thing…

Thanks Kalen for your offer, that again reiterates my point,

that I have to spend at least $30+ per month to get autogenerated coupons.

If I needed all your other functionality, then yes it would be worth it! but I only need that one thing.
Then all the functionality costs start adding up!

Do you have the ability to create a coupon upon getting an order that uses the order number and customers last name?

Hi @vincenz can you please help me with creating the flow in Klaviyo for this? I am not new to creating flows in Klaviyo, but if you have documented steps that would be helpful.
