I’m experiencing an issue with product imports from AutoDS into my Shopify store. Everything used to work fine — including the automatic syncing of the Cost per item field — until I upgraded my AutoDS plan from 500 variants to 1000 variants.
Since that upgrade, I’ve encountered the following issues:
-
Newly imported products no longer have the Cost per item field filled, even though this worked perfectly before.
-
I’ve made all the proper Shopify-side adjustments:
-
I deactivated my home address as a location
-
Created a fake business location to satisfy Shopify’s need for a default (since AutoDS, as an app location, cannot be set as default)
-
Now, Shopify assigns new products to the fake default location, which is expected behavior.
-
-
AutoDS is fully synced:
-
I’ve renewed the token multiple times
-
Refreshed the store
-
I’m on the Advanced Plan in AutoDS
-
-
Despite all this, AutoDS is no longer syncing the product cost. The toggle for “Upload cost to Shopify” is missing entirely from both Supplier Settings and individual Drafts inside AutoDS.
I have already contacted AutoDS support. Their suggestions didn’t solve the issue, and they confirmed it should be working — yet it still isn’t.
Could you please help me understand:
-
If Shopify limits App-based fulfillment services (like AutoDS) from editing Cost per item?
-
Or if there’s any setting or limitation on Shopify’s side that may be blocking this functionality?
