Automatic Discounts Do Not Work for Company Account

We have discounts that we would like to apply when our wholesale companies purchase products exceeding $1,000 and $10,000. I have created an automatic discount, however it appears this only works for NON company accounts or when a user is not logged in. Why would this be? Why do these automatic discounts not work for companies?

Hey @SeanMP ! Good question. Discounts require a beta flag to be enabled for B2B, as they will apply to all customers by default within a blended store. If you want to share your myshopify URL I can get then enabled in your store.

Note, all previous discount functionality will work going forward, however, there are a few limitations to note:

  • Automatic discounts created in admin cannot be differentiated for B2B vs. DTC customers (but could be achieved using discount functions which are now available for B2B)
  • Checkout to draft doesn’t support discounts

If you’re running a blended store and want to only apply this discount to B2B customers only, I highly recommend you use discount Functions.

Hi Lizzie, that would be great. The discounts we want only apply to purchases over $1000 so it’s totally acceptable if they also apply to DTC accounts. Here is our link: death-by-audio-effects.myshopify.com

Additionally, could you let me know where to look for these edits on our end if possible?

Is this possible @lizzieficken ?

Hey @SeanMP ! I asked our team to enable discounts in your store, and our records are showing that they were already enabled on Wednesday. Does that sound right to you? I would recommend following up with our support team if not.

On the edits side, can you elaborate on what you need more information on? I’m not feeling 100% clear on the ask.

Hi Lizzie,

I just checked and it appears to be working now! Thank you so much!
