Hi,
I’ve received an automatic email warning about REST API deprecation. It says a field will deprecated sooner than stated in the official versioning/deprecation blog. I believe the official information is correct, and therefore the email is wrong. I’m reporting this because such automatic emails with errors will cause confusion and need to be fixed.
The field in question is REST API order field total_price_usd. The content of the email is:
One or more of your custom or private apps have made deprecated API calls in the last 30 days. Support for these versions will be removed on April 1, 2023. Please update the apps listed below to API version 2022-07 or later to ensure they continue to function correctly.*Store: ____
App: __*__ Breaking changes:
- The
total_price_usdfield onOrderhas been deprecated from the Admin REST API’s Order resource.
AFAIK from april 2023 onwards, any requests made with older API versions will default to 2022-07.
According to the documentation Property deprecations in the Admin API Order and LineItem resource - Shopify developer changelog , the field is still part of 2022-07 and should be working until end of June 2023.
If there is any problem with this field already from April 2023, please let me know.
Martin
