Since we are paying a monthly fee to Shopify to have an online store, why doesn’t the company provide automatic SEO optimization with recommended templates? This is a very complex aspect of operating an ecommerce store, and we all need help with this. The template I selected apparently was lacking SEO, and I was/am constantly hounded, I mean dozens of “SEO Consultants” hounded my inbox to help me SEO properly. My one store made zero sales without it. Not even one impulse purchase, and I had followed every step of advice from the platform I could find. This seems so essential, I wish Shopify had recommended a template that included all of this. It’s certainly not a free one included with my shop membership hosting fee. More people would have Shopify stores if we could see evidence of their success through this all important SEO need.
