Hello all,
I run a store that has around 150 retailers selling my products. I have hundreds of listings. From time to time, I may make a change in the description that would be extremely beneficial to other retailers that could only be updated if the retailer is aware. ( I am also a retailer of other stores and the benefit would be the same for me as a retailer)
The issue comes in where I use links on many of my listings which link a customer from one of my items to another item, in certain instances. Retailers who initially import my products can remove any links or just link to the item in their store.
There are settings that allow autoupdates and stire owners can select which items are updated.
Wondering if it would be possible to exclude links from any auto updates and/ or if the feature could be turned on/ off by supplier and not just a box checked yes or no that applies to all connected suppliers. Maybe one connected supplier (supplier A) uses language/ verbiage that may be slightly different from how a store owner would want, so in that case, the supplier A could be excluded from having their products auto-updated while suppliers B, C, D, etc may not be.
I really feel if there were more options for the updating of collective supplier listings, everyone would win.
Maybe on listings that have changes made by the supplier could have a notification/ banner/ message stating changes were made by the collective supplier, would you like these changes to be implemented, then allow for a review of those changes.
Seems like a lot of developer work, but this would certainly be game changing for my store and connected retailers and suppliers.
Thoughts?
