Avalara Avatax, don't send flagged orders to Avalara

Hi,

I have a Shopify Plus store that uses the Avatax integration. Was wondering if there’s a setting/flag that can be set at the Shopify order level so that specific orders don’t flow into Avalara.

We have some special cases where we don’t want the Shopify Plus Avatax integration to send orders to Avalara.

Anyone know of a tag/metafield/setting that tells Shopify to ignore specific orders?

Hi Steve,

I am afraid it is not possible via tags/metafields. We have faced the same problem with our EU and UK VAT comlience app, when handling OMP sales channel for IOSS orders. Amazon , Ebay etc. when integrated as sales channels are responcible for IOSS shipments with their own IOSS numbers and as such should be excluded from the fiscal reporting for the shop’s IOSS registration . We devised a way to handle the problem and not to fetch such orders for fiscal purposes. But obviously it is done on our app level and would not work for Avalara.
