I just got a Samsung S24 and installed Shopify.
It works well - but everytime I open Shopify on the phone (app) I need to verify with fingerprint.
I am coming from a Google Pixel 6 Pro where I could open it without having to verify each time.
It’s very annoying and I wonder if I by accident turned something on?
Any advice how I can avoid having to verify every time I open the app?
I just want to go straight to the dashboard like I used to do.
Hi PureTime,
I have outlined some of the solutions check these and let me know if it works, or you require any additional briefing:
- Open the Shopify app → Go to Settings > Security → Disable biometric login if it’s on.
- Make sure Shopify is not in Samsung’s Secure Folder (Settings > Biometrics & Security > Secure Folder).
- Check if your phone has a Work Profile or Knox/MDM enabled (Settings > Accounts & Backup > Users).
- Uninstall and reinstall the Shopify app — it may reset any auto-enabled security settings.
If none work, go to Settings > Apps > Shopify and check for any device-level security permissions.
Let me know if you’re using a work profile or company-managed device.
Thanks
