Banned from Shopify for trying to use Shopify Payments

Hello Guys

So we’ve been doing business on Shopify for about 3 months now. Everything was going just perfcet we were getting lot of orders everyday, Satisfied customers, Great Feedbacks…

After we got lot of orders using PayPal as our main Payment Gateway we decided to try Shopify Payments so we can scale our business more and accept credit cards too, Suddenly about 10 hours of activating Shopify Payments our store was closed without any reason at all! We contacted Shopify Support several times but no one could help us or tell us anything. The only word they keep saying is “Wait for another team to review”. Its been 1 Week now and our business is almost over.

So yeah. Shopify just ended our company 3 months journey just like that because we decided to try their products “Shopify Payments”.

That is definitely an upsetting situation.

While I can’t speak to your account and situation directly, we do at times remove businesses that we see as presenting an elevated risk. When a merchant signs up for Shopify Payments our team must verify that the business is in line with our Acceptable Use Policy, and also requires verification of the Account Owner. While it wasn’t your wanting to use our gateway that had you removed, it was most likely during our review our team made their determinations.

I absolutely appreciate how unfortunate this is. If you can tell me a bit more about your products I can perhaps shed some light on the potential reasons for the termination.

Hi, i am having the same issue and it is really upsetting :disappointed_face:

after reading up the policies, i still cannot find any way i have violated.

likely not due to my products as i have tried many stores with different products and still keep getting banned

furthermore, when i try to dispute, i fill in all the required info and the submit button doesnt work :(((((

please help
