Banner image cut off on desktop in Flex Theme

When I preview desktop view in Flex 3.0 theme, my image banner is cut off on the top and bottom of the image (model head and legs are cut off). The image dimensions are 1800px x 800 px as suggested by the Flex theme developer.

How can I make the whole image banner visible and image quality to be HD? Is there CSS I can add to fix this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
