Every now and again, I get a /basket/thank-you.aspx url showing up in my Google analytics visited page list. Does anyone know what this might be and why it would even exist in a Shopify site?
Doesn’t seem to come from anywhere and I’m not necessarily concerned but I am curious if anyone else ever saw this?
The “/basket/thank-you.aspx” URL you are seeing in your Google Analytics may be related to a third-party app or plugin installed on your Shopify store. It is possible that the app is using this URL as a redirect page after a customer has completed a purchase or added items to their cart.
If you are unsure which app or plugin is causing this URL to appear in your Google Analytics, you can try disabling each app one by one to see if the URL disappears from your analytics.
That’s an interesting angle to look into, I wish we could just disable apps for testing but with Shopify you have to delete them to turn them off so I don’t think there’s any real way for this to be done
