Hi Experts
I am new to Shopify, actually just a month passed since I launched my store. I have setup Facebook and Instagram pages and am actively promoting my business. Since launch I have been getting almost 20 messages in Instagram and Facebook daily from so called “e-commence experts”. They all have strange names and most of them are from Africa (not that I have anything against it, but I see a trend). Their English is poor and they claim to make my “weak” store into a hugh success by all kinds of strategies…
Although, I am not a one man army and would love to have support, my trust in such messages is low and I feel most of them are not capable.
A few have asked me to give them staff accounts. I am on the basic plan so I dont have access to staff accounts. However I can give them collaborator access in case I find someone competent. I have a couple of questions that I want to have more clarity on.
1- Can a collaborator make changes on my shopify directly, or do I get to approve the changes before they become live on the store? More like an admin pushing changes into production. If not, what can be a workaround for this.
2- Can collaborators embed code into the shopify store that could potentially harm or create negative consequences. Can any one give examples of what bad actors could potentially do to the platform as a collaborator ? I am trying to understand the risk involved.
3- I know there are authorized Shopify partners and would love to connect with them but not sure about what kind of prices are we looking at here..
Thanks everyone, anyone..
