Is there any app that can give me a cogs report with the bundle dicsount (if there is an order with 2x item we get dicount form $4 - $8 depends on the product). I am using the Cogs app Trueprofit but the issue with tha app is that It does not calculate discount from different variations. Like if there is a order of Small/Black and Small/White. According to our rule we will get a bundle dicsount here. But Trueproffit doesn’t calculate that. I will only calculate the bundle discount if there is an orde of 2x Small/Black.
Thank You
Hello @ALiii3 ,

- Bundle Support: Allows setting custom discount rules for bundles, even if variations differ.
2. Profit Calc- Features: Detailed profit and COGS tracking with flexibility for discounts.

hey @ALiii3 bundle COGS is tricky because most tools just use a single cost field per variant. When you bundle, the COGS should be the sum of the individual component costs, adjusted for any bulk discount from the supplier.
The approach that works: track COGS at the variant level, not the product level. For bundles your COGS equals the sum of component variant costs. If your supplier gives a bundle discount, update the bundle COGS specifically for that.
The bigger issue is what happens when one component’s cost changes. Does the app update only future bundle orders or does it rewrite all your historical data too? That’s where most tools quietly mess up your numbers.
Hi KangJinKim,
Thank you for the detailed breakdown on how to approach bundle COGS and the potential pitfalls with historical data.
Based on the logic you described regarding variant-level tracking and component cost summation, which specific app or tool are you suggesting for this?
