I’m doing link building and guest posting partnerships with other Shopify apps.
The most time-consuming part isn’t getting the partnership - it’s finding where to place the link.
My current workflow is:
Find a relevant blog on the partner’s website.
Find a natural link placement.
Choose the best anchor text.
This takes a lot of time for every single backlink.
Is there a good link placement finder or anchor text finder that can automatically find relevant link placement opportunities and suggest contextual anchor text?
Honestly there’s no single tool that perfectly auto finds the spot and the anchor for you, but you can cut that time way down. For finding the right article on a partner’s site, stop reading their whole blog, just Google site:theirdomain.com plus your topic and it instantly pulls up their most relevant pages, and if you have Ahrefs or Semrush you can see which of those pages actually get traffic, which are the ones worth a link. For the slow part, finding the natural spot and anchor inside the article, that’s exactly where AI helps now: paste the article into ChatGPT or Claude and ask it to find the most natural sentence to link to your page and suggest two or three anchor text options. That turns reading the whole thing into a few seconds. One tip on the anchor, keep them varied and natural instead of using the same exact keyword every time, a mix of branded and contextual anchors looks normal to Google, while repeating the exact match phrase looks spammy. So your workflow becomes a quick site search to find the page, then AI to pick the spot and the anchor, instead of reading everything by hand.
Hope that helps! If it did, a Like and Marking it as Solution goes a long way and helps others find the fix faster too.
Wow, I’m here for the topic because I also experienced the similar problem and amazed by your solution. I only thought about using AI to scan and help find suitable anchor texts but never had an idea on how to find the relevant blog to insert link. Your way sounds very efficient, I’ll try it haha. Thanks for the tip!!!
I still review the article manually but I use AI to speed up the process. I will paste the article into ChatGPT and ask it to suggest natural places to add a link along with a few anchor text options. It cuts the review time significantly.
That said I always do a final manual check to make sure the link feels genuinely useful and not forced. In my experience contextual relevance matters more than trying to automate everything.
I’ve found a content search workflow is usually quicker than browsing every post. Search the partner blog for keywords related to your app, and then target the posts that are most closely relevant. From there, only add links where they really add value to the content, and use anchor text that matches naturaly with the surrounding copy. It makes the process of maintaining the link efficient, and it keeps the useful for readers and SEO-friendly as well, in my opinion.
Hope you are doing great.
The fastest shortcut is to paste the article into ChatGPT and ask it to find the best natural link placement and suggest anchor text for your topic. It reads the whole article in seconds and saves you from doing it manually.
For proper tools, Ahrefs and Surfer SEO are both good at finding contextual placement opportunities and suggesting anchor text.
But honestly, the ChatGPT method is free and works really well. Try that first!
