Best/Recommended/Ideal/Optimal image dimensions for Dawn Theme (Dawn version 5.0.0)

Hello,

I already contacted the shopify support, but I don’t found an satisfactory answer.

Are there ideal/optimal/recommended Image sizes (dimensions) for the Dawn-Theme (Dawn version 5.0.0)?

Are this sizes correct? Or are there better image sizes?

And especially does anyone know the recommended size for the section “image with text”?

It will depend on the section you want to display, recommended size is 750x.

Did you upload the image and it’s blurry?

No my images are not blurry.

It just wanted to know it espeacilly for the loading time.

There are 3 main dimensions I am interessted in:

  1. Because I use for my product-images 2048x2048. Is this size to big? Or is this ok because for the zoom-function? Or would be also ok to use a smaller dimension?

  2. For the header-banner I use 1920x1400. Is this a good size? Because in this community it says 2048x2048?

  3. And in your opinion a good size for the section “image with text” is 750x750 if I understood you correctly.

With the sizes you mentioned, I checked and everything is good.

1: The image size is good, it will help to display clearly because Shopify changed the image loading, so the images will load fine, or if you want you can reduce it, to size 1024x1024.

2: Most of the current monitors are high resolution, so the community advises a large size, but for 1920x1400, I think it’s good enough, if you want more clarity you can upgrade it to 2048x1400.

3: Yes, you can use this size, or if you want the best, you can use 1080x1080.
