BFCM tips for global selling with Global-e?

Hey everyone!

With BFCM just around the corner, I’m looking to make this my best sales event yet. I’m currently using Global-e to sell internationally and I’d love to hear from other merchants about what’s worked well for you.

What I’m looking for:

  • Any BFCM-specific strategies that work well for international customers

  • Apps or tools that complement Global-e during high-traffic periods

  • Tips for managing different time zones and currency promotions

  • Any gotchas or lessons learned from previous years

I want to make sure I’m set up for success across all my markets and not leaving any optimization opportunities on the table.

What’s worked for you? Any hidden gems or must-have apps you’d recommend?

Thanks in advance! :folded_hands:

Hey merchantly :waving_hand:

We ran into a few headaches last year with Global-e during BFCM. The logistics and localisation side are great, but managing discounts across multiple currencies was a real pain — a promo that worked perfectly in the UK could easily wipe out margins somewhere else..

That’s actually why we built Pixoo, it lets you set different fixed prices or discount amounts for each market (so £20 off in the UK becomes €25 off in France or $28 off in the US, instead of whatever the exchange rate decides ). It’s been a game changer for keeping offers consistent and margins healthy.

We also use it to roll out market/country-specific campaigns depending on timezone, and it plays really nicely with Global-e.

Good luck smashing your BFCM this year!!!

Hi @merchantly

Great timing on this question – BFCM prep is crucial, especially for international sales.

I’ve got two solid resources from Shopify that should help you optimize your setup:

1. The Complete BFCM Guide from Shopify – This covers strategic prep, marketing tactics, and conversion optimization specifically for BFCM. Really useful for planning your overall approach.

2. BFCM Apps Collection from Shopify – A curated list of apps that merchants have found valuable during high-traffic sale periods. You’ll find tools for inventory management, urgency/scarcity features, customer support automation, and more.

Since you’re already using Global-e, I’d especially look at:

  • Countdown timer apps (work across time zones to create localized urgency)
  • Inventory management tools (critical when selling across multiple markets)
  • Email/SMS marketing apps that support multi-currency and can segment by region
  • Customer support tools with multilingual capabilities for the inevitable surge in questions

One tip from the guide: test your entire checkout flow in different currencies/regions before BFCM hits. You don’t want to discover issues when traffic spikes.

The apps list has reviews from other merchants too, which can give you real insights into what actually performs under pressure.

Good luck with your prep! :rocket:

P/s: TailorKit is also running a Publish to Earn campaign that support our merchants in BFCM sale season and we also provides BFCM Ebook, if you are interested, you can visit TailorKit App Listing.

To make the most of BFCM when selling globally with Global-e, start by localizing your store — offer local currencies, payment methods, and translated content. Use Global-e’s data to target key markets with region-specific promotions and shipping offers. Ensure checkout and delivery options are clear and competitive, and prepare for higher traffic by testing your site performance in advance. Finally, plan post-sale follow-ups to build long-term international customers, not just BFCM buyers.
