Have taken over a Shopify store and have noted that the funnel has a quite large drop when it comes to checkout conversions. Over 80% that reached checkout don’t convert.
I understand that this fluctuate between industries, but this seems rather high either way. What you ya’ll think the reason is?
At checkout, a drop of more than 80% is undoubtedly high. Typically, the primary causes of this are:
Forcing clients to register or create an account before they can make a payment is known as mandatory account creation. (To resolve this, navigate to Settings > Checkout in your Shopify admin and enable Guest Checkout or make customer accounts optional).
Unexpected Expenses: Taxes or hidden shipping costs that only become apparent at the very end.
Complicated Forms: The checkout form has an excessive number of required or unclear fields.
