I have debut theme. I have x15 blogs so far (and adding to these when possible). in my online store cusomization I have set it to show 15 blogs but it will only show 1 and I have to manually change that, it doesn’t just show the latest blog I have written. How do I show more blogs in this area please?
Topic summary
A Shopify store owner using the Debut theme is struggling to display multiple blog posts on their homepage, despite setting the theme to show 15 posts. Only one post appears at a time.
Root cause identified:
The user created 15 separate blogs, each containing a single article, rather than creating one blog with 15 articles inside it. The Debut theme’s blog section is designed to display multiple articles from a single blog, not articles from multiple blogs.
Recommended solution:
- Create one consolidated blog (e.g., “All about signs” or “News”)
- Reassign all existing blog posts to this single blog via Admin → Content → Blog Posts
- In each post’s “Organization” panel, select the new consolidated blog from the dropdown
- Delete the now-empty individual blogs via “Manage blogs”
- Update the site menu to point to the consolidated blog
Current status:
The issue remains unresolved. The user reports difficulty locating the “Article” or “Organization” settings in their admin panel, suggesting confusion between Shopify’s “Blog posts” (articles) and “Blogs” (containers). Multiple helpers are offering step-by-step guidance with screenshots, and one has offered direct collaborator access to resolve the issue.
You’re creating a single article in each blog, that’s why there is only one article shown in a grid.
Need to create multiple articles in one blog…
On the Article page in Admin you should click the “Blog” drop-down and select one Blog to host all your articles:
Then on the “Blog Posts” page click “Manage blogs” in the right top corner and remove all the empty blogs.
Then update your menu.
You do not have to have a single blog, you can have several, if their contents are not very related.
Say, have a “News” blog and “Technology insights” blog
Or you can have one blog, but tag your articles and later filter blog posts by these tags:
Please select the correct blog template to which your blog posts are assigned, and ensure that your blog posts are visible.

Thank you for replying. All blogs are set to visible. The second section you highlighted show a lots of all the blogs I created and that’s it. I can only select one of the headings.
Yes, they are all visible and published. On my home page I have a menu item where you can see I have 15 blogs on the drop down list but I just can’t figure out how to preview more than one of them.
Thank you for replying. I tried that a while ago when I had 12, changed it and nothing happens.
Thank you for the reply. There not this option available to me. Where you have selected news it only give me a list of my blogs I have created, I can only choose one of them.
Please go to your store admin > Content > Blog Posts, then click the “Manage Blogs” button. Check if there is an existing blog. If there isn’t one, please create a new blog and name it either “News” or “Blogs.” After that, return to the Blog Posts section and select your newly created blog instead of the current blog post option.
Hey @KreativDesign ,
Thanks for the update. If changing the number in {% paginate blog.articles by X %} didn’t work, it’s likely that your homepage section is using a static article limit or a different blog section that overrides the pagination. Some Debut theme setups show a fixed number of posts set in the theme editor rather than in code.
I can take a closer look and help you make it show all the posts you want—either by adjusting the theme code properly or creating a custom loop for multiple blogs. You can reach out here: https://www.rajatweb.dev/.
I’ve already asked, but why are you creating new Blog for each Article?
The concept is that you have a single, or a small number of Blogs and each of them has multiple Articles.
So most pre-built sections focus on displaying a grid of articles in one blog, not all articles from all blogs.
Hi @KreativDesign ,
it’s basically the steps Shopify gives when blog posts don’t appear because no blog container exists yet.
Steps to Fix Missing Blogs
- Go to your Shopify Admin.
- Navigate to Content → Blog Posts.
- In the top-right corner, click Manage Blogs.
- Check if you already have a blog (e.g. “News” or “Blogs”).
- If none exists → click Create Blog, give it a name (like News or Blog), then save.
- Go back to Blog Posts.
- When creating or editing a blog post, make sure the Blog dropdown is set to the blog you just created (instead of the default/empty option).
- Save your changes.
Hi @KreativDesign,
Please send the website link, I will check it for you
Hi, Thanks for replying. I have done this, when I click manage blogs the blogs are shown there, if I add a new one it lets me, but still wont show any more than 1 on my homepage/shop layout
Thank you. Its already set up like this but still wont show more than the 1 blog.
This does not work, it probably my theme?
What I am saying is – you have 15 blogs, each containing a single Article while you should have 1 blog with 15 Articles.
Nothing is wrong with your theme, it’s your data organized in unusual (and unexpected) way.
The links in your “Blogs” menu are inconsistent – some lead to Blog pages while others lead to Article pages.
As I suggested earlier, you should consolidate all your articels in one blog – then you will see a grid of articles on one blog page.
As I said earlier, but clearly not very well, I cannot see a way to achieve what you are saying on the theme that I have.
