Topic summary
-
Issue: Product images on the “wardrobe” page appear blurry and show white margins. A screenshot and the store URL were shared for context.
-
Suspected cause: The theme’s image sizes attribute caps at 405px for screens wider than 1000px, not accounting for larger screens or high‑DPI displays, which can cause distortion.
-
Proposed fix: Change the sizes attribute to serve larger responsive images (use 50% viewport width on medium/large screens and 100% on small screens). Exact values were provided by a helper.
-
Guidance request: The merchant asked for step‑by‑step instructions on where to paste the code.
-
Access granted: Since file location was unclear, the helper requested theme code access. The merchant approved collaborator access and reuploaded the blurry images for testing.
-
Current status: The merchant is awaiting the helper to apply the fix and confirm results, with several follow‑ups due to time sensitivity. No confirmation of implementation or resolution yet; discussion remains open.
Hi @LOFTROBE
Based on your theme code its The sizes attribute you’re using doesn’t account for larger screens or high-DPI displays. It caps at 405px for screens wider than 1000px, which might be causing the distortion of images.
Please consider changing the image sizes attribute to the following.
sizes="(min-width: 1200px) 50vw, (min-width: 750px) 50vw, 100vw"
Thank you.
Hi,
Where do I paste the code please? Can you send me step by step instructions.
Thanks
Steph
