BOGO Price Anchoring with 2 buying options?

I’m looking to give my buyers 3 options on selected products:

Buy 1

Buy 2, Get 1 Free – “Save $X”

Buy 3, Get 2 Free – “Save $X”

This could be on the product level or in the cart.

I’ve been looking through apps till my eyes are blurry. I’m having trouble finding something that does this relatively simple (I thought) buying option. Most things are a simple single BOGO at a % off.

Maybe there’s a native way to do this in Shopify? Or an app I’ve been missing?

You can do this in Shopify Flow.

Trigger would be when order is created (paid and all), then you click on Condition → Check if customer bought the product and in what quantities, then you Action Add Order Line Items. Assign discount too, if needed.

Not sure this catches it. I’m looking to give them an option before they purchase. “Which would you like to do? option 1, 2 or 3?” Not after the sale is over.

hello there

  1. Bold Quantity Breaks: This app allows you to offer tiered pricing based on the quantity of items purchased. You can create custom price rules for specific products or collections, such as “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” or “Buy 3, Get 2 Free.”

  2. Ultimate Special Offers: This app allows you to offer bundle deals, volume discounts, and other special offers based on the contents of a customer’s cart. You can create rules for specific products or collections, and set discounts based on the number of items purchased or total cart value.

  3. Discount Ninja: This app offers a wide range of discount options, including quantity-based discounts and BOGO deals. You can create rules for specific products or collections, and set discounts based on the number of items purchased or total cart value.

Alternatively, you can create these buying options using Shopify’s native discounts feature. Here’s how:

  1. Create a new discount code in your Shopify admin by going to Discounts > Create Discount Code.

  2. Choose the discount type as “Fixed Amount” or “Percentage Discount.”

  3. Under “Applies to,” choose the products or collections you want the discount to apply to.

  4. Under “Customer Eligibility,” choose “Everyone.”

  5. Under “Automatic Discount,” choose “Buy X Get Y” and set the “X” and “Y” values based on your desired buying options.

  6. Save the discount code and test it on your store.

Note that this method may not be as flexible as using an app, as you can only create one discount rule at a time and cannot set a custom message like “Save $X.” However, it can be a quick and simple way to create buying options on your store without installing additional apps.

I hope this helps!

Hello @cedarmeadow

I would like to give you the recommendation to support you

You can try the 3rd app, here is a list that you can refer to : https://www.zoko.io/post/top-10-best-shopify-apps-for-buy-one-get-one-bogo

If you don’t want to use the 3rd app, you can use Discount feature from Shopify, pls follow this topic to create Options as you want:

I hope the above is useful to you.

Nothing holds you back from saying there is an option to buy 2 pieces and get 1 for free and etc.

Hi @cedarmeadow

This is Jun from Bundle Kit.

Our app is able to meet your needs as it is primarily a bundle inventory management system so it will also be able to track the SKUs for variants of each product.

The bundle inventory is automatically set based on the available inventories of the bundle item(s), including the inventories of the variants. Proper quantity will also be taken out of the inventory of each bundle that is being purchased.

You can create bundles using our app.

To achieve this, you would first need to create a dummy bundle product in Shopify.

Under ‘Options’, you can do the following:

Option name 1: Buy 1
Option values: no variations if not necessary

Option name 2: Buy 2, Get 1 Free – “Save $X”

Option values: all variations

Option name 3: Buy 3, Get 2 Free – “Save $X”

Option values: all variations

Using our app, convert this into a bundle. We have step-by-step instructions here: https://help.bundlekit.io/creating-a-multi-pack-bundle
