Boosting sales and fake SEO promoters

Topic summary

A business owner launched their Shopify store in January 2025 and is seeking ways to increase sales after a disappointing Facebook ad campaign that ran for one month. They currently use Shopify’s monthly newsletter and have an established Facebook presence.

Recommended actions to boost sales:

  • Analyze ad targeting and ensure alignment between ad content and landing pages
  • Set up Google Analytics to track user behavior and identify drop-off points in the customer journey
  • Recognize that ad campaigns require ongoing optimization rather than one-time setup

Avoiding fake SEO promoters:

  • Work only with providers who offer regular progress meetings based on data and established goals
  • Be skeptical of unrealistic guarantees or promises
  • Prioritize transparency, regular communication, and established companies with positive reviews
  • Trust instincts when evaluating potential providers

The owner notes receiving unsolicited SEO assistance emails from questionable sources, possibly from members accessing the conversation. A detailed video response is available with specific timestamps for further guidance.

Dear Shopify,

A) I have launched my business (which I am in since many years) since Jan2025 online.

I have some sales, and using the newsletter option from Shopify 1x month.

Further I have my Facebook page (also since many years) , and used an advert campaign for the first time for a month, but missing the expected result.

How can I boost my sales - I am based in central Europe.

B) How can I avoid fake SEO boosters/candidates? Unfortunately in the past, when writing on these pages, I got SEO assistance emails from ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’ promising the world, and they do no look like official shopify assistants. Its possible members that have access to this conversation.

Thank you.

To boost sales after a disappointing ad campaign, analyse your targeting, website purchase experience, and whether your ads matched the landing page content. Ensure you have Google Analytics set up to understand user behaviour. Identify where the problem occurred in the customer journey. Most ad campaigns require ongoing optimization. To avoid fake SEO boosters, look for accountability. Reputable providers will have regular meetings to discuss progress based on data and established goals. Be wary of providers who make unrealistic guarantees. Transparency and regular communication are key to avoiding scams. Trust your gut feeling and work with established companies with positive reviews. For our full response, check out the recording of the stream. We answer your question at around 01;35;00:
