bottom menu bar on shopify theme

Hello,

I hope you’re all doing well!

I’m currently using a Shopify theme and would like to remove the bottom menu bar (the one with icons like Home, Shop, Wishlist, etc.). Can anyone guide me on how to do this?

Any step-by-step instructions or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

To remove the bottom menu bar with icons like Home, Shop, Wishlist, etc. from your Shopify theme, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Shopify admin dashboard and navigate to Online Store > Themes
  2. Click on “Actions” for your current theme, then select “Edit code”
  3. In the Assets folder, locate and open the CSS file (it might be named base.css, theme.css, or style.css)
  4. At the bottom of the CSS file, add the following code:
.bottom-menu-bar { display: none !important; }

Save the changes and refresh your store.

If the code above doesn’t work, you may need to adjust the class name to match your specific theme. To find the correct class name:

  1. Open your store in a web browser
  2. Right-click on the bottom menu bar and select “Inspect” or “Inspect Element”
  3. Look for the class name of the container element for the bottom menu bar
  4. Replace “bottom-menu-bar” in the CSS code with the correct class name you found

If you’re still having trouble, you may need to consult your theme’s documentation or contact the theme developer for specific instructions on removing the bottom menu bar.
