Today I fell victim to a Shopify scam. I purchased a pair of shoes off a shopify website, and realized that they were a scam website. They deleted their website and their domain.
Question: The transaction is still “pending” on my credit card. Since they deleted their website, will the pending transaction get deleted? Or will it be posted and I have to contact my credit card company for a chargeback?

When it comes to such matters, we always refer you to communicate with the store in question. The order confirmation email is the best way to reach out and inquire further as to what is happening with your order. Lots of things can be happening as to why the store has been removed online. We suggest trying to reach out to the store first before anything.
If you have tried to communicate with them however and it’s been over 2 weeks and you still are not receiving the proper information, that is when we recommend you reach out to your banking partner that you used for this order to inform them of what is happening with this order.
