Hi,
I am trying to breakdown the shipping fee rates by cities and regions within my country. However
as i can see in shopify the shipping rate can be defined as a profile and the criteria to declare the rate is either by area postal code or by radius (shipping destination compared to the source store), but what if the country doesn’t follow a standard for the areas postal code definition or it is not usual to follow the area postal code which is not well known by the customers.
Also what if the customer made an order however the target address is not his current location, in this case the radius of the shipping will not help.
I am wondering whether shopify would allow the merchant to customize the checkout page in a way to define a list of regions/areas whithin the country and the shipping rate would be assigned to each area separately, thus a dropdown list of cities appears to the customer to choose their shipment location and the fee rate display according to the city chosen.
Also i am not sure if shopify allows any sort of integration with Google Map so the customer can choose the delivery location in checkout and here the shipping fee would be calculated following the defined radius/rate.
Appreciate your support!
