There are quite a few features that were taken away from the standard POS from the update a couple years ago and its quite frustrating. I am not going to pay an extra $90/mo per location for the POS pro its definitely not worth that and a huge rip off. We pay enough for our subscription and fees as it is.
One feature they took away was the save cart. Its a very simple feature and a huge help when you have multiple customers in the store and someone wants to continue looking around so you dont have to clear the cart for the next customer and re enter everything back in.
I have reached out multiple times and as usual I’m sure shopify will continue to ignore its customers as it took 7+ years to be able to combine duplicate customer accounts.
I could go on about the many other features that used to be free and taken away to extort more money from us like the ability to do an exchange, again a very simple feature and should be a standard for any POS system. I don’t want to have to turn off physical gift cards, return the item to a paper gift card, then check them out and scan the code to make another sale.
Keep up the great work shopify yall are really turning this into a real “pos”
