Broadcast Theme - Changing The Variant From Buttons To Drop Down Men

Hi all!

I’m new to shopify and currently trialling the Broadcast theme. Is it possible to make the variant a drop down menu on the product page rather than buttons?

if there is not an option to change this is the visual editor (either under Theme Settings or in Product Page settings) then you may need to change the liquid code directly or add an option to switch between Dropdown/Buttons.

You’ll go to your theme and click “Edit Code” - look for a file called product.liquid or a Snippet file called product-form.liquid or product-options.liquid (this can vary depending on the theme and I don’t have Broadcast installed).

You’ll then search for an “input” tag (CTRL+F → type “input”) – you’ll likely notice that these are wrapped in a container. You’ll want to change the container to and change the input area to . ** If you are not familiar with liquid/HTML I do not recommend doing this on your own. This is something I do quite often, so feel free to send us a message if you need help implementing this solution. I can provide a more thorough how-to once I’ve looked at your theme code. Thanks!
