Broken HTML has been detected in the theme!

Hi there,

I just noticed this error message last night and the strange thing is that I haven’t made any changes in the code for ages. Not sure why it came up all of the sudden. Please see attached.

I’ve already checked the code for missing/extra HTML tags using some specific tools and there was none.

Also, although it says HOME-PRODUCT-GRID-TYPE-4.liquid, when I clicked through another file opened in the editor- FRAME.SCSS.liquid and already checked both files and they don’t seem to have any issues in terms of missing/extra HTML tags.

I’d really appreciate your help as some sections on my homepage are missing and I suspect this might’ve caused this.

Hi Suyash1,

Fortunately, I figured this out myself after debugging the code.

All I had done was to INSERT A TABLE through editor to add a size chart and this had caused my entire website to break. Please see attached.

Is this a Shopify bug because this doesn’t make sense to me?

The issue had nothing to do with home-product-grid-type-4.liquid file.

great that your issue is solved, not sure if it is shopify bug, you can ask
shopify support team about it
