Brooklyn theme - blog article's featured images dissapeared. How could I solve it?

Good day,

I’m using the Brooklyn theme on my store and everything was fine until now with how the blog is displayed on the homepage, but for some reason, now the images for the 3 different articles disappeared and only the title and some of the body is showing. Anyone has a suggestion on what could I do? Thank you!

Greetings, @Timea1 .

Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention!

I understand that you’re using the Brooklyn theme, and now the featured images on your blogs have disappeared. Just to confirm, was there any custom coding installed to your theme? Or, any modifications to the theme’s coding?

If the issue was caused by a modification to the theme’s coding, then you can try rolling back to an earlier version of your theme files or installing a new copy of the Brooklyn theme. However, it’s important to note that you would need to be able to identify the file that was previously modified in order to roll it back.

That being said, if rolling back the theme doesn’t resolve the issue and you’re not sure where the issue is coming from, then it looks like we’ll need to access your account in order to resolve this issue. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit the Shopify Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request.

I’d love to know if rolling back the theme can help you resolve this issue. Keep me posted!

Hi Elias! Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, I made some small changes to the code, however nothing related to the blog or homepage, only the slideshow. I would try to check if I find anything related to how the blog section is displayed on the homepage, but can you please guide me on where can I find that? Is it the blog.liquid?

Hi, @Timea1 .

Thank you for following up!

The blog section on the homepage is from a file in the Sections folder, called featured-blog.liquid, while the blog.liquid file in the Templates folder represents the full blog pages. However, since I’m not a certified developer, then I’d recommend reaching out to our Theme Support if you need help with customizing one of our themes. While our Theme Support team can help with a number of customizations, please reference the supported themes and customizations on our design policy.

That being said, do you still need help recovering the featured images on the blog section of your homepage?
