BUG in new Analytics

In the custom report I created today, I set the dimension to “day” for month-to-date data. However, it displayed data for the last day of August to yesterday instead.

Additionally, in the same report, when I set the date range to only the 24th, the data was completely different from the 24th data in the MTD report. Then, I tried setting the range to only the 25th, and it unexpectedly displayed the exact same data as the 24th in the MTD.

Is it possible that all the data’s time distribution is off by a day?

Hi,

This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.

The inconsistencies you’re experiencing in your custom report likely stem from one or more of the following factors:

  1. Incorrect Date Range Settings:

    • MTD Calculation: Ensure that your MTD calculation is correctly set to start from the first day of the current month.
    • Specific Date Ranges: Double-check that the date ranges you’re setting are accurate and align with your desired data.
  2. Data Granularity:

    • Day-Level Data: If your data is stored at a day-level granularity, setting the dimension to “day” should provide accurate data for each day.
    • Hourly or Minute-Level Data: If your data is stored at a more granular level, you might need to adjust the dimension or aggregation settings to get the desired results.
  3. Time Zone Issues:

    • Data Storage: If your data is stored in a different time zone than the one you’re using in your report, it can lead to discrepancies.
    • Time Zone Settings: Ensure that your report’s time zone settings are correct.
  4. Data Processing Delays:

    • Real-Time Updates: If your data source has processing delays, it might take some time for the latest data to be reflected in your report.

Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.
