Build flow that releases fullfillment hold when back in stock

Looking for an expert to help me set up a flow that releases the fullfillment hold on orders when items are back in stock. Sidekick didnt get it right.

Hi @simenedvin I’m @PaulNewton shopify-partner with a range of merchant solutions.
You can reach out to me for automations or customization services.

Such automations can technically be built using shopify-flow but more advanced apps like mechanic can be a bit saner about it because of the way flow is trigger>action based with some actions like release-fulfillment-hold not being able to run in an arbitrary workflow.

ALWAYS include context in new communications, e.g. reference urls, posts urls, etc

Not offering services here, just doing some research on this exact problem. Paul’s right that release-fulfillment-hold can’t run as an arbitrary Flow action, which matches what I’ve been finding elsewhere.

simenedvin, curious what your actual setup looks like - roughly how many orders end up on hold at once, and is it just the release step you’re stuck on, or also figuring out which held orders are even ready to release (i.e. do you already know the stock landed covers that specific order, or is that part of the manual work too)?
