Built a Shopify app to solve a common merchant problem — looking for honest feedback

Hi everyone :waving_hand:

I recently built and published a Shopify app focused on solving
a common problem merchants face around store automation and retention.

Before pushing more features, I want to learn from real store owners.

I’m NOT here to promote or sell.
I’m genuinely looking for:

  • What tools/apps you currently use for this problem
  • What frustrates you most in the current setup
  • What you wish existing apps did better

If you’ve faced this issue or have any advice,
your feedback would really help shape the product.

Thanks in advance :folded_hands:

@Deepjpatel This sounds really interesting! From my experience with Shopify stores:

Current tools/apps – Many merchants rely on automation apps like Klaviyo, Omnisend, ReConvert, or Loyalty programs, depending on their needs.

Biggest frustrations – Complexity, inconsistent automation triggers, and apps not communicating properly with each other. Also, limited flexibility in customizing retention flows.

Wish list – Easier integration across multiple apps, smarter automation that reacts to customer behavior, and better analytics to see what’s actually working.

For store owners, anything that saves time while increasing repeat purchases tends to be very valuable.

Would love to know are you planning this app for a specific type of automation, or more broadly for retention and conversions?

Thanks for sharing such a thoughtful breakdown — this matches a lot of what we’ve been seeing as well.

You’re absolutely right about the complexity and fragmentation.

Many merchants end up stacking multiple apps that don’t always talk

to each other cleanly, which makes retention flows harder to manage

than they should be.

Our current thinking is to stay focused rather than build something

too broad.

We’re exploring automation around specific, high-impact moments

in the customer journey (where flexibility and reliability matter most),

instead of trying to replace full platforms like Klaviyo or Omnisend.

Analytics and clarity around “what actually works” is also a big theme

for us, especially from a merchant’s point of view.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share this — insights like this

are exactly what we’re looking for.

@Deepjpatel I’m glad i could be of help
