Bulk Editing / Copying product Variants and Prices on Already Published Products

Topic summary

Two shop owners are struggling to update product variants and prices across multiple existing products in their Shopify stores.

The Problem:

  • One seller needs to update print/canvas variant types and prices across custom artwork products after their options changed
  • Another has 200+ products with identical variants/prices and wants to add new framing options store-wide
  • Both created updated product templates but cannot find a way to apply changes in bulk

Current Limitation:

  • No apparent built-in method exists to copy variants/prices from one product to others or bulk edit across multiple existing products
  • Manual editing of each individual product appears to be the only available option

Status: The discussion remains unresolved with no solution provided. Both users express frustration that such a common e-commerce task lacks a streamlined approach in Shopify.

Hello!

I have custom artwork in my shop with different print/canvas variant types. Some of my options and prices have changed, and I need to update the current products. I created a new artwork with the current variants and prices but I am looking for a way to either copy those variants/prices over to my other existing products, or find a way to bulk edit the prices/variants on multiple existing products. Please tell me there is a simple way to do this, other than going into EVERY existing product and manually changing over the variants and pricing updates.

Thank you!

I’ve been trying to do the same thing. Unbelievably, it seems there is no way to do this. I have over 200 existing products, all with the same variants and prices, and if I want to change my prices its seems I have to go through each one individually and do it manually. I have also added some new framing options, and want to copy them to all existing products. It blows my mind that there is no simple way to do this.

Surely people change their prices every now and then?
