The free one-time route is eBay Seller Hub Reports: export the Shopify catalog, map it into eBay’s CSV/XLSX listing template, then upload it. I would not send the full catalog first. eBay category, required item specifics, condition, shipping/return policy, variation grouping, GTIN/MPN, images, price and quantity do not all map one-to-one from Shopify.
Start with five representative products: one simple item, one multi-variant item, one out-of-stock item, one item with multiple images and one category edge case. Check the processed report and the live listings before scaling the same mapping. If you need ongoing stock and order sync rather than a one-time import, Shopify Marketplace Connect is the safer route because it manages listings and inventory from Shopify.
Roughly how many products and variants do you have, and is this a one-time migration or ongoing two-way sync?

ChatGPT not only just transferred 7600 products from Shopify to eBay, it made sure all the listings abided by eBay policies, learned an HTML template from one of my eBay listings and coded all the descriptions and photos into the template. It’s incredible. All it needed was for me to share log ins and the CSV product listings from Shopify.
