Bundle Builder That Allows Customization by Customer

I am having some challenges finding an app that can meet these requirements:

  1. Customer selects the Bundle, which is made up of individual items

  2. Customer can change the color/finish of each individual item and price changes accordingly. They are customizing their bundle based upon pre-existing variants (that have different prices).

  3. The compare at price displays and dynamically changes based upon the variants selected.

  4. Price of bundle also changes dynamically when variants in bundle are more or less expensive.

  5. Price displays the bundle price on the Collection page, not the original price.

I have tried a few and they are missing one or the other of these features. Thanks for any direction you have.

Not sure if you try my app, BYOB. It allows customers to build bundles with a custom product template.

For 5) Price displays the bundle price on the Collection page, not the original price., this depends on the theme. If the bundle price varies, there is not a fixed price. It may require customization in the theme files

Thanks much. I installed Pickstory, but the issue is that the bundle price does not display on collection pages. And it doesn’t display the compare at price dynamically, just based upon the total compare at price of the highest priced items. We can work around that by not showing the compare at price, but the inability to show the bundle price on the collection page makes it much less appealing. Otherwise the app is very good.

This is Jun from Bundle Kit.

Our app is somehow able to meet your needs.

You can bundle 3 items together into one product and our app will also be able to track the SKUs and inventories of each product from the bundle item.

Below is an example bundle product that we have:

To do this, you would first need to create a dummy product first in Shopify and name the dummy bundle product.

Under ‘Options’, you can do the following:

Option name 1: Product name 1

Option values: any variants of the 1st product if there any

Option name 2: Product name 2

Option values: any variants of the 2nd product if there any

Option name 3: Product name 3

Option values: any variants of the 3rdproduct if there any

If you would like the compare price/sales price to be enabled, please go to Bundle Kit > Settings > enable ‘Set dummy bundle product compare at price when available?’ setting AND configure ‘Set dummy bundle product compare at price calculation’ setting to be ‘Based on compare at price of bundle items’. When the bundle’s compare at price is set by the app, then the Sale label should appear (if your theme supports displaying compare at prices).

I wish it did, but PickStory displays the highest possible bundle price everywhere but the product page. Therefore it does not work for an upselling type scenario since most people will not click on the product that is showing the highest possible price they will pay.
