Bundle question. How to build kits with different color options?

Hi all,

I’m looking for a way to add yarn kits to my store. Like, the kit consists of 8 skeins of yarn of the same yarn - 6 in the main color, 2 in the secondary color, and the customer can pick both colors. Similar to what it’s like here:

I’ve tried using the bundles app, but I can’t add the same product twice there (because the yarn is the same, it’s really just two different variants which are used for the colorways.)

Any input is very appreciated… thank you!

My recommendation: Globo Product Options (2000+ ratings, 4.9 rating, free plan available). As you can see in the image below, you can add the balloons in many colors and materials.

Or Easify Product Options (400+ reviews, free plan available, a little less expensive), allowing you to set many option group.

thanks for taking the time to write a response! I have now looked into both suggested apps, but unfortunately, none of them is capable of what I’m looking for.

Here’s what I want to achieve:

2 dropdown boxes, each of them holds all product variants (colors) of one product. Customer can pick main color (6 skeins of yarn should automatically be added to cart on purchase) and secondary color (2 skeins of yarn should be automatically added to cart on purchase).

Do you, or does anyone else, have another idea on how to achieve this? As I wrote in my first post, this is really what I want to achieve: https://www.maschenfein.de/produkt/eifelgold/

As far as I know, product option app like Globo also offers the dropdown option. These apps are highly customizable so if you can’t find the options you want, you can try contacting their live chat agents for help. ^^

To address your setup needs, you can use the Easify Product Options app, which combines various features such asDropdowns, Addon Products, and Quantity Selectors with Increments . Demo:

Here’s a quick guide to set up your product options:

• Create Your Base Products:

  • Start by setting up your Yarn product with all available colors.
  • Then, create a separate Yarn Kits product.

• Create Custom Options for Yarn Kits:

  • Use the app to create a custom option set for selecting yarn colors for your Yarn Kits product.

• Configure the Main Color Option:

  • Add the 1st option as a Dropdown for selecting the Main Color.
  • Include all yarn colors and link each option to your Yarn product.
  • In the Advanced settings tab, enable the Quantity Selector and set the increment to 6. This ensures that when customers choose the Main Color, they will add 6 skeins of it to their cart.

• Configure the Secondary Color Option:

  • Duplicate the Main Color option and adjust the increment to 2 for selecting the Secondary Color.

• Apply the Option Set:

  • Add the completed option set to your Yarn Kits product.
