No app needed.
A “buy 2, get…” keys off quantity, so 2 jackets qualify. Instead make it require one of each specific product.
Set up
- Discounts > Create discount > Buy X Get Y (Automatic)
- Customer buys: 1 of your jacket (pick Specific products, not a collection)
- Customer gets: 1 of your jeans, at the percentage or amount that lands your bundle price
- Save
Why 2 jackets can’t game it
The discount sits on the jeans and only fires when a jacket is also in the cart. Two jackets with no jeans stay full price.
Add the jacket and the jeans together and the bundle price applies on its own:
In your inventory
- Both stay as two separate products, each tracked on its own. No bundle listing, no inventory syncing.
- Your pre-order jeans works fine here. Set the jeans to continue selling when out of stock.
If you ever want it sold as one item on the page with the two stocks combined and tracked for you, Shopify’s own free Shopify Bundles app builds that, with no manual tracker.
