I’m using the Shopify bundle app which is great. But it doesn’t do dynamic pricing which is giving us a headache! Is there another simple bundle app that has this feature? Don’t want anything fancy.
Hey @TVR_UK
Honestly, dynamic bundle pricing is one of the cleaner things to custom code if you want it done properly. With a bit of JavaScript reading the selected variants and recalculating the price live, you get exactly the behavior you want, no monthly app fee, no bloat, and it’s fully customizable to match your store. It’s not a huge build for someone who’s done it before, and you own the code afterwards.
If you’d rather go the app route, the simple ones with dynamic pricing built in are Fast Bundle, Bundler ‑ Product Bundles (has a free tier), and Kaching Bundles. All three handle live price updates and discounts without the complexity of the bigger upsell suites. Bundler is probably the closest to “simple, does the job, not fancy” which is what you’re after.
If you want, happy to take a look at how your bundles are set up and tell you honestly whether a quick custom solution or one of those apps makes more sense for your specific case. Sometimes it’s genuinely just cheaper to use a free app, sometimes custom pays for itself in a few months of avoided fees.
Hope that helps! If it did, a Like and Marking it as Solution goes a long way and helps others find the fix faster too.
Best,
Moeed
How much would the custom option cost?
Totally get this. A lot of merchants like Shopify Bundles because it’s simple, but the missing dynamic pricing is definitely a limitation for mix-and-match or custom bundle setups.
You can check out Wizio Bundle app. It supports dynamic price updates and keeps the setup pretty straightforward without adding too many unnecessary features.
I’m not completely sure what kind of pricing setup you’re looking for, but I think you could try Bundles Inventory app. It is similar to Shopify Bundles app in that it uses standard products and variants for bundles (no widgets), but has more flexibility for pricing.
You can configure pricing rules per bundle variant, such as:
- X% off
- $Y off
- $Z (fixed price)
Also, bundle prices are automatically updated when component product prices change.
Hey @TVR_UK
From what you’re describing, you need pricing that changes based on quantity or tier ( i think) , which the native Shopify bundle app doesn’t support.
I work with an app called Subscribee that handles this. You can set up tiers with different discount types: percentage off, fixed amount off, fixed total price, or even BOGO. Each tier has its own quantity and discount rules.
So for example you could do:
-
Tier 1 “Starter” (1 unit): no discount
-
Tier 2 “Best Value” (2 units): 15% off per item
-
Tier 3 “Pack” (3 units): fixed total price of €15
It’s free and lightweight, no fancy stuff. https://apps.shopify.com/subscribee
Happy to help if you have questions about the setup!
where’s your store link
Hi @TVR_UK,
if you’re looking for a simple alternative with more flexible bundle behavior. You can try Profit Bundles & Mystery Boxes.
It supports rule-based / dynamic bundle setups, so you can build bundles that adjust based on product selection rather than being fixed-price only.
A couple of quick points that might help:
-
No paywall to get started — there is a Free Welcome plan
-
You can create unlimited bundles on the free plan
-
Includes 10 bundle orders per month for free
-
Designed to stay simple, without unnecessary complexity
It could be a good fit if you just need dynamic bundling without going into heavy enterprise-style setups.
Lots of great advice but I’m looking for functionality rather than fancy upselling. I only use fixed bundles - I simply want the fixed bundle price to be updated when an individual product cost goes up. These bundles are our work around the Shopify not selling it’s by weight.
Hey @TVR_UK , Bundles Inventory app has the functionality you’re looking for.
You can create fixed bundles, and the app will automatically update the bundle price whenever any component product’s price changes. By default, the bundle price is calculated as the sum of the component product prices.
(Sorry for bringing this up again, in my previous reply I wasn’t fully sure about your use case.)
We use Simple Bundles and have been happy with it. There is a free version. But we opted for the basic $14 plan, which is enough for us. It includes dynamic pricing.
Shopify Bundle and other 3-rd part bundle apps usually can’t update pricing dynamically when the bundle is created as a separate product.
Therefore, I’d suggest using a CLASSIC BUNDLE instead. Just like Shopify Bundle, but it shows the bundle widget directly on the product page, keeping the fixed bundle price updated when an individual product cost goes up.
For example, if you use BOGOS: Free Gift Bundle Upsell, all bundles auto-sync with your latest product info and pricing updates.
There are 2 bundle types to choose from:
- For a simple fixed set bundle → choose Classic Bundle.
- For a bundle that customers can mix & match the items + tiered discounts based on product quantity → choose Mix & Match Bundle.

Hi @TVR_UK ,
I understand there’s plenty of options that have been offered, but perhaps you’d still be interested in giving AS Quantity Break & Upsell App.
From what you described, it might match your needs, and if something’s not clear or you need help setting up - feel free to drop a message via the in-app live chat.
It’s free to use with unlimited features from the get go so you can test it with very little risk for as long as needed, and paid plans only start with extra revenue generated, but are priced fairly.
Well, the best way to fix this issue to contact with the support of Shopify instead of posting here.
Because app support remains active all the time.
A lot of good bundle app suggestions have already been shared here, especially around dynamic pricing and SKU-level flexibility.
From what you described, it sounds like the core need is not only:
“Can bundle pricing update dynamically?”
but also:
“Can the bundle experience stay intuitive for shoppers while adapting to what they select and what their intents are?”
In practice, we’ve seen stores run into two challenges:
-
Static bundle logic can technically work, but it becomes hard to optimize when shoppers have different intent levels (exploring vs ready-to-buy)
-
Dynamic pricing alone doesn’t always solve the revenue side — for example, incentives can unintentionally become too aggressive or inconsistent across sessions
One direction that has been interesting is moving toward storefront sales agents for bundles — where the bundle adapts in real time based on context, selected products, and revenue constraints rather than relying only on fixed bundle rules.
For example:
-
Bundle pricing updates dynamically as selections change or customer analysis.
-
Personalized bundle incentives can be time-sensitive.
-
Discount ranges stay controllable, so margins are protected.
-
The bundle presentation adapts naturally inside the shopping flow instead of feeling like a separate configuration experience.
Full transparency: I work on a Shopify app in this space, Rosetta.ai AOV Uplifter, and this is exactly the problem we’ve been thinking deeply about.
We’ve been approaching this through storefront sales agents rather than static bundle logic.
Our Timed Discount Bundle Box supports dynamic and personalized bundles with time-limited personalized discounts (dynamic pricing), while also allowing merchants to keep discount ranges margin-safe and controlled.
Besides, this is how it works with our other storefront sales agent, Personalized Cart Drawer:
The interesting part is that they stay embedded in the storefront experience rather than becoming a separate or complicated flow.
Might be worth exploring depending on whether your goal is simply dynamic pricing, or a more adaptive bundle experience overall. Happy to share more if helpful, but I thought the broader framing might be useful regardless of tooling.
Hi @TVR_UK ![]()
From what you’ve described, this is actually a fairly common limitation. Shopify Bundles, as well as many third-party bundle apps, often struggle with dynamic pricing because the bundle is typically treated as a separate product, making it difficult to automatically adjust pricing based on the specific items customers choose within the bundle.
If your goal is to create a simple bundle experience while still allowing dynamic pricing, Easify Box Bundle Builder BYOB could be a good fit for your needs.
To give you a better idea of how it works, I’ve created a similar demo based on a “Pick any 3 products → Get 10% off” offer, which is quite close to the type of dynamic pricing setup you’re looking for.
- Here’s the result:
To set it up, you simply need to create a new offer and choose Tiered Quantity Discounts
This allows you to create multiple discount tiers based on the quantity of products customers purchase.
- This is the app setting:
For example, with a setup like “Pick any 3 products → Get 10% off”, you can configure the discount rules directly within the app. The setup is very straightforward while still providing much more flexibility than Shopify Bundles when it comes to dynamic pricing.
After that, you can select the collections or specific products you’d like the offer to apply to
As customers add products to their cart, the app will automatically apply the appropriate discount based on the quantity thresholds you’ve configured.
One thing I really like about this approach is how clear and intuitive it is for customers. They can easily see how many items they’ve added and what discount they’ve qualified for, which often helps encourage larger purchases while keeping the shopping experience simple and easy to understand.
Overall, if you’re looking for a lightweight solution that supports quantity-based dynamic pricing without the complexity of a full bundle builder, Tiered Quantity Discounts could be a great option to explore. ![]()
