Bundles App

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner using the Bundles app faces an issue where customer invoices display individual product prices for bundled items, rather than just the bundle’s set price.

Current Problem:

  • Bundles function correctly on the storefront
  • Order confirmations/invoices break down the bundle into individual items with separate prices
  • The merchant wants only the total bundle price shown

Proposed Solutions:

Template Customization:

  • Multiple respondents suggest editing the order notification templates in Shopify settings
  • Requires custom coding to modify how bundle items appear in emails
  • Location: Settings → Customer Notifications → Order Confirmation

Alternative Apps:

  • BOGOS App: Offers a “Classic Bundle” feature that displays only the total bundle price on cart and checkout pages, with setup instructions provided
  • Profit Bundles & Mystery Boxes: Specifically designed to show fixed bundle pricing while hiding individual product prices on invoices

Status: The original poster attempted contacting Shopify support without success. The issue remains unresolved, though coding the email templates or switching to a different bundle app appear to be the main paths forward.

Hello,

I’m using the Bundles app in shopify with my Dawn theme. For my website, I offer bundles which include several individual products from my website which are sold at a set bundle price. The app works good; however, the issue comes when a customer orders a bundle they recieve an invoice which shows each individual item in the bundle with an assocated price. I would like for the pricing to not be displayed for the individual items since I have a set price for the bundle. Is there a way to not have the individual product price listed and just the bundle price? Thank you!

@CS813 Yes, you can achieve this by customizing the order email template.

Thank you for your feedback. Do you know where this can be done? I’ve
tried looking under settings then customer notifications then order
confirmation, but it looks like you can only edit the code here…is that
correct/

Thanks!

Thank you for the information. I have tried reaching out to the shopify help center and no one has been able to help me. Is the app team different? When I go into the “Bundles” app and click get support it takes me to the shopify help center. Do you know how to get in contact with the app team? Thank you for any information you can provide.

@CS813 Yes, You have to edit order Notification Templates.

I suggest using the bundle product feature on theBOGOS App, as it can help you achieve exactly what you need:

  • Shoppers can order a bundle at a fixed price.

  • The bundle displays the total bundle price, rather than the individual product prices.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: You can view the demo on the cart and checkout pages here:

How to set it up:

  1. Create a Classic Bundle in the BOGOS App.

  2. Select “Create a product for this bundle” then Save

  1. Open the offer one more time, then Click Open product detail to edit information of the bundle. Edit bundle product information here:

You can try BOGOS for FREE here!

Hi @CS813,

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for sharing the details of your setup. I understand that you want the invoice to display only the bundle price and not the individual product prices for bundled items. The Profit Bundles & Mystery Boxes app is designed to handle exactly this scenario. It allows you to create bundles with a fixed price while keeping individual product prices hidden on the order invoice, making it easier to manage bundle pricing for your customers.

I am also sharing a picture for your reference.
