Hello,
I am resident in Hong Kong but have registered an LLC in Wyoming for a Webstore selling to US customers only. Shopify is not accepting my virtual address used to register my business. I have since taken out a lease on a co-working space in US. Will this co-working space be accepted as business address and what verification proof will be asked for?
Or do I need to sign up for Shopify Payments Hong Kong which, I think, accepts payments from US customers - but surely will ask for Hong Kong registered business details?
Hi, @Gustav001 .
Thanks for reaching out and posting your question to the Shopify Community.
I understand that you’re seeking Shopify Payments United States for business as a non-resident.
As per our Shopify Payments - United States Help Center resource, your business must be registered in the U.S. and comply with local laws and regulations, as well as meet the requirements for a valid business address. You can refer to the Help Center resource linked above regarding what verification proof/requirements will be asked for. Please note, we may contact you to collect additional information about you and your business. These standard reviews can occur at any time during the lifespan of your Shopify Payments account.
Shopify Payments Hong Kong can accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and UnionPay debit and credit cards. To accept payments in USD, you’ll want to ensure your store is set up to handle multi-currency transactions.
If you have additional questions regarding your Shopify Payments account, feel free to share them here, or you can get in touch with our authenticated support through the Shopify Help Center.
