I have the Buy Button embedded on several pages on my Wordpress site; I’ve been using it for years with no problem.
However, recently after a customer adds a product to the cart on my Wordpress site then clicks “checkout” in the cart drawer, it redirects them to my Shopify store home page, not the cart checkout. I don’t know when it started doing this, but a customer pointed it out tonight. The checkout on my main Shopify site works fine.
It only does this with the Chrome browser on desktop.
Safari on mobile and desktop directs the customer to the Shopify checkout page.
I am stumped. I have no redirects set up in my Shopify store. My shop uses a custom URL and I have a my domain set up as a shop subdomain.
What is your primary domain in Shopify and what is the domain used in the buy buttons?
I fund if you don’t use the primary domain in the buy buttons, sometimes users will get redirected to the home page instead of the buy button checkout.
Try this one for redirecting users on multiple actions I hope this is the best solution for you. I have a better solution for redirecting your store audience after login, logout, and registration activity. it helps to increase store conversions. No coding technical skills need to install it. Extendons Shopify Redirect After Login App is highly recommended for redirect activities.
My friend, you look like you can fix this problem. When i’m customizing my store and i press checkout on the top bar/page to customize the checkout page it directs me to the home page not the checkout. Do you know why?
Never mind, i already figured out the problem. The reason it was acting like that was because i didn’t have a test item to customize checkout, since I’m new and just started dropshipping i didn’t have any product to in collection because I’m still customizing the store. Thank you for trying to help, Good Luck!
