I’m using the Buy Now Product Button with my Wordpress site in Full View. I’m adding variant photos for each variant, and it’s working great, but all of the variant photos also populate under the product image. When you have a lot of variants like I do this makes the page look cluttered. Is there a way to use variant photos without having all variant photos show up in the product media below the product? I only want the variant photos to appear when the specific variant is selected. Thanks!
Topic summary
Issue: On a WordPress site using Shopify’s Buy Button in Full View, adding variant-specific photos causes all variant images to appear in the product media gallery below the main image, creating clutter for products with many variants.
Goal: Display variant photos only when their specific variant is selected, without populating the entire media gallery.
Context: “Variant photos” are images tied to individual product variants (e.g., color/size). Images are central to the problem.
Request: Guidance on settings or customization to prevent variant images from auto-populating the product media section while still swapping the image on variant selection.
Status: No solution or responses provided yet; the question remains open and unresolved.
