Hello, we tried to add a Buy X get Y automatic discount. We want to add one free product with each order. The required quantity of purchased items is one, the discounted value is “free”. However, the discount does not appear on the checkout. What is wrong?

Hi @Thracian1 for that you have to add the free product in the cart to get as a free because Shopify has limitation to add free product automatically in the cart.
So the customer needs to add it manually? The system does not add the product automatically?
@Thracian1 Yeah customer need to add the Free product manually in cart . So , it will be consider as free product.(You can promote that free product through out the advertisement and add that free product link through out the popup)
that is very sad to hear it can help us in marketing if these discounts were automatically poping in shopify.

Since Shopify doesn’t support automatically adding a free product to the cart when another item is purchased, shoppers would normally have to find and add the gift themselves.
