We sell wine. I inserted a 6 bottle box (the biggest we have) into shipping setting to show shipping costs at checkout to customers.
If somebody order less than 6 bottle he is charged properly for 1 box but when somebody order more than 6 I have to make two or more boxes but customer get charged only for one box.
Is there a way to set shopify to consider more boxes after a given number of items purchased?
I would need the system to calculate a new box every 6 items.
This would require a third-party shipping app that offers some advanced packing features for this sort of logic. You can view our app store here to find some solid options. I would recommend an app called Boxify that will allow you to set rates that match how an order is actually shipped, whatever is in the cart, whatever the size of the box or boxes required. In your case, the addition of another box after every 6 bottles are ordered.
