Campaign landing page - use a landing page builder or theme page?

Topic summary

Choosing between a Shopify theme-built landing page and a third‑party builder for a campaign. The merchant (Sense theme) made a theme page but couldn’t remove the main menu, and built another with Ecomposer that conflicts with bundle apps and email automations, creating high maintenance.

Key question: pros/cons of third‑party landing page builders versus native theme pages. One respondent recommends keeping the landing page on the main website to drive traffic; the merchant emphasizes landing pages should minimize distractions to improve conversion.

Latest update: the shared Ecomposer URL returns a 404. The respondent reiterates the landing page should be on the website for audience growth, while the merchant says the landing page is not part of the site (terminology confusion: it’s hosted on the domain but separate from main navigation).

Technical notes: “landing page builder” = app-based page editor; “bundles” = product bundle apps; “email flow” = automated marketing emails that may not integrate with some builders.

Status: unresolved. Action items: fix the 404 URL, confirm app/email compatibility with Ecomposer, and explore theme customization to hide the main menu for a distraction‑free page.

Hello,

New to Shopify.

Built my site using the Sense theme - www.decorchiq.com

Now I would like to start advertising and build a specific landing page for the campaign, so I did one using the theme:

https://www.decorchiq.com/pages/landing-page-partea-pack

But didn’t manage to remove the main menu…

So I used a landing page builder (Ecomposer) to construct the page:
https://www.decorchiq.com/pages/partea

But now I am a bit confused… Seems like some apps for bundles etc is not compatible with Ecomposer and cannot use the same e-mail flow. So seem to be high maintenance to use 2 different way of working.

So my question is - what are the advantages versus disadvantages of using a 3rd party app to build campaign pages versus using the normal site theme?

Any feedback on the landing page would also be appreciated! :slightly_smiling_face:

@MariBaa

For campaign use your own website page because it help you gain more website traffic.

Both options are my website but the page is not part of the site. The purpose of a campaign landing page is to increase the conversion rate with fewer distractions.

@MariBaa the Landing page you has designed is part of your website? if yes then you will easily get conversion.

can please share landing page & website url

The url is in the original post:
https://www.decorchiq.com/pages/partea

The landing page is not a part of the website.
