Can a Star SM-L200 printer connect to POS for outdoor markets?

Hi,

Can you connect a Star SM-L200 printer to pos has we do out door markets and need to a battery printer.

The Star SM-L200 receipt printer isn’t supported at this time, as I’m not finding this model on our list of supported printer models. However, I understand that you’re doing outdoor markets so this is an important feature for you, and I’d be happy to submit a feature request on your behalf in regards to expanding the supported printer models for receipts to our development team for future platform releases or updates. That being said, if Shopify moves forward with any updates to the supported printer models, then we’ll be sure to announce this on our changelog.

I’d love to hear more about your business! What kinds of products do you sell? How often do you sell at outdoor markets and why?

Yes I would like for you to submit a feature request for the Star SM-L200 receipt printer.

We do outside Markets Monday to Saturday every week and this would be a great benefit to us as our customers sometimes don’t want to give us their emails or telephone numbers.

We sell mature ladies fashion and are expanding our business to call into care homes so this printer would come in handy for that.

I can totally see how some customers may not want to share their email addresses or phone numbers, and how important wireless portable receipt printers are for your business. I’ll be going ahead and adding these details to the feature request. When Shopify moves forward with any platform updates/changes or new product/feature releases, you’ll be able to find them announced on the Shopify Changelog.

That being said, how are you finding the Shopify platform? Do you run ad campaigns for your business at the moment? Or, do you have a marketing plan prepared for your store?

Have you got this to work? I’d be interested in a similar printer.

I have such a printer I use with my Zettle system. I would like to change from Zettle to Shopify POS and will there for like to know the answer to your question too!
