I’m trying to transfer my products from shopify to amazon. It want let me move forward until I get a brand name. Isn’t the name of my store the same as my brand. if not how do I go about creating a brand. Can I do it through shopify?

If you haven’t already, I recommend looking into the third-party app Amazon by CedCommerce on the Shopify App Store to effectively sync and manage your listings.
I had a look at Amazon’s Brand Name Policy and it considers a brand to be a name that represents a product or set of products. It also explains how to use the brand attribute on your ASINs. The brand attribute on a listing should match the name of the brand that produced the product. Creating a brand name would need to be done through Amazon. I recommend reviewing the brand policy and FAQ section for more information.
