Can an app send mass emails to clients with ongoing orders?

Hello everyone,

I’d like to have some feedback or suggestion on: is it possible/does an app exist, that would enable us to send a custom email to all the client that have an order ongoing. Our orders are a bit delayed and delivery will take more time so we need to confort only these clients that their orders are coming but with more delay than expected. All I could find is an old topic from 2012 with a solution that it seems do not exist anymore, and many apps but for campaign/marketing where it is not possible to send an email to a list of customers sorted by their order status.

ps: even if it’s only a one time mail, non-free app are okay.

Thank you.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I’m also looking for this type of email ability.

Thanks!

Hey, @simpleandnew

Have you looked into the app called Custom Order Status by W3? The app allows you to notify customers based on order statuses that you choose. Each email has fully customizable email templates that you can use to craft exactly what you want to say to those customers. The app comes with a 5-day free trial and is then $5.99/month.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Oh my gosh, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I was starting to think it didn’t exist for Shopify. Thanks for posting.

Hi there,

You can send bulk emails with Notify Rush to a list of customers based on order status, order tag, and other advanced filters, and inform them about order delays, out-of-stock products, etc.

You can check Notify Rush in the Shopify App Store: Notify Rush - Reduce support tickets with proactive customer notifications. | Shopify App Store

Thank you!

@simpleandnew ,
Yes its possible, One option is to filter orders by their fulfillment status or order date export the associated customers and send a one time update using an email app like Klaviyo or Shopify Email.

If this is a one off situation Id also check apps that let you email customers based on order filters rather than marketing lists. Keeping customers informed about delays usually helps reduce support requests and builds trust.
