Can anyone clarify assisted orders and sales on Shopify Google Channel?

I’d like more information about assisted orders and assisted sales. The hover popup answers are vague. Can anyone from Shopify shed light on this?

A customer may have completed 5 different steps before buying from your website. (Can be more or less, you can view your attribution data in Google Analytics)

For example, first saw your ad in a YouTube Video.

Then search online and clicked on your shopping ad.

Then search again, and click on your text ad.

Then browsed Facebook and viewed your remarketing ad.

Then directly gone to your website without any ad clicks and bought from you.

Because the last entry is direct, it will mean that all previous steps the customer took have helped bring in a sale, ie an attribution.

So what you are looking at, is data but will not show data if the only and single attribution is itself.
