I have the Avatar theme and I am trying to set up a selection where the customers can type in their color choices based on the color chart rather then adding a variant for every color listed. Is that possible? I’ve seen it done on some Shopify accounts I’ve looked at, but wasn’t sure if it was theme specific.

yea just add this via product option app, search the app store for “product options”
