Can I add more fields to my customer sign up page on Shopify?

Hello everyone,

Is there any third-party apps that can be installed to add more fields on the Members / Customers’ Sign Up page (not Contact Us) on my Shopify store?

We would like to add

• Box-field (compulsory) for customers to consent their data being collected and stored
• Box-field (optional) for customers to opt-in to marketing communications

• Date field to collect customers’ Date of Birth

For e.g. https://fentybeauty.com/account/login?form=register included these fields

These were proposed to our Shopify developer, however his argument was that only date field can be added. Additional fields such as those box-fields which are legally required (due to privacy laws) can only be done if our plan is upgraded to Shopify Plus. Is this true? Or is there any other ways to work around the code? It does not make sense for us to upgrade our US$79/month to US$2000/month just for 2 box fields.

If it is the code issue, would someone be kind enough to provide a code? Or perhaps if there is any Shopify Expert out there which we can engage? We have a total of 5 Shopify stores that needs to add these fields.

You can use this app https://apps.shopify.com/customr to create custom fields on the sign up page.

Hi Saurabhb2b,

The app which you shared is only suitable to change the fields at the Contact Us form page, and not the (customers) Sign Up page.

This app is also suitable for creating new registration page and adding custom fields in there as well.(Please refer to the screenshots below.)

Hi Saurabhb2b,

Yes looks like it does indeed allow change of fields at Sign Up page.

Do you happen to know what about Cart Checkout page? I hear that it can only be edited if we are on the Shopify Plus plan, but upgrading is not possible. “Email me with news and offers” should not be ticked by default, and needs to have more explicit content expressed. Is it possible to change the text and box for this?
